Is it all there is to blogging?

2011-01-15_0000059 Subscriber-false Marketing-false Newsletter- RegYSNewsletter- MicroTransactions-trueYou have created a blog or two (it is so easy to create) and you have clear golas, writing skills, necessary tech knowhow and best of the will to excel and leave your mark. Now you have a lingering doubt; is that all there is to blogging?

Blogging has matured beyond ‘me too’ fad. Now this phenomenon has established as an essential part of any business, and a valuable tool for those who have something to say or those who have a passion for something. I know bloggers becoming consultants, social media managers, journalists and writers for larger print publications. I also know some who have become brand ambassadors, and many who are developing creative content. There are so many reasons to blog.

An overwhelming majority is happy with the day-to-day of simply writing a new articles and getting their friends to comment on them; creating content and loving it. They haven’t figured out what more is. But there is much more to it.

I have spent some time struggling and trying to pave my way. Each day, each post, each workshop or one to one phone or Skype session, and each comment has brought me one more step closer to what I want. Every interaction brings me a little more clarity to what I enjoy and what I want to have.

Here is my two cents for those who find themselves asking this question. Yes, that is just about all if you are happy with it. But it is OK to want something more, challenge yourself and feel some responsibilities and obligations. Don’t keep finding excuses to have equilibrium point. Create your bloggy community. I have got one, and I tell you– it is been wonderful – caring, sharing, and always there. My community doesn’t let me be isolated and alone. Join my community and also create your own?

  1. Sure Sir.. Inspiring …. !!!

  2. Beautiful post ‘and for me,’ I want more….. Much more than I have. It’s not about money but I have gained satisfaction through my blog and my passion for writing has increased. I agree that a blogging community is a must, but I also believe if you write well and give what people want, with out a struggle you will make people come to your blog and comment.

My blogging journey started in baby steps and after 7 months of hard work I have reached a very satisfactory position, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end, it only means I have a long way to go and through this blogging I have made a name for my self and above all I have had the opportunity to interact with so many in the blogging world.

  3. I must like to torture myself: I have two blogs that I feel I must regularly update. You really hit the nail on the head though about blogging these days. It really was a fad for a while and it seemed like everyone had a blog. Like every fad though, it flourished and then the bright light of reality (having to keep it up) dawned on a few bloggers and slowly they were weeded out. When I think back on where I was when I began blogging and where I am today it amazes me just how much I’ve learned about so much of it from monetizing, getting Google to love me just a little bit, making friends and finding a niche or two. I still like blogging and I suspect I’m a frustrated author with no energy to write a book. ;) No doubt about it, writing a blog is hard work if you want to have quality content; but it’s also great to be part of a large and diverse community.

    • In addition to Google there are so many who love what you write (me included). BTW, you have a book ready if you simply extract content from your blog and complie it. I know that :-) No?

I wish youu give my suggestion a try.

Think I can make out what you mean (more than bloggy community). Don’t!

And what is equilibrium point in the context that I thinkis pointed out here?

An excellent post coming from your heart! Loved reading it that journey itself is a reward: ” I have spent some time struggling and trying to pave my way. Each day, each post, each workshop or one to one phone or Skype session, and each comment has brought me one more step closer to what I want. Every interaction brings me a little more clarity to what I enjoy and what I want to have.” Simply lovely and inspirational. Blogging is not just about self-expression, writing passion and skills, earning and self-actualization but also much more than this, which can be like becoming a member of a community of like-minded people and bloggers.

    Certainly, Blogging is very rewarding!

Zero-tolerance never work. Nor do any grand theories-of-everything, or ideological solutions. Find where is an equilibrium point!
